| Terence Newman led the team in interceptions (four) in 2008 for the third time in his career. He also tied for the team lead with 13 pass deflections. A nagging groin injury that developed in training camp kept Newman out for the season opener and it later escalated into an abdominal strain that required surgery. But once he finally got back to full strength, Newman was a difference-maker. Considered one of the top cover corners in the NFL, Newman signed a six-year contract extention with the Cowboys in May 2008. |
