The Dallas Cowboys released running back Alonzo Coleman and cornerback Michael Hawkins today. Coleman was waived/injured.

Coleman signed with the team as a rookie free agent in 2007 and spent the season on the club's practice squad. He returned in 2008 and spent the first 13 weeks of the season on the practice squad before signing to the active roster on December 5, 2008.

He made his NFL debut at Pittsburgh (12/7) but was inactive the final three games of the season.

Hawkins signed with the team on January 26, 2009 after spending the 2007-08 seasons out of football. He played with the Cleveland Browns and Minnesota Vikings in 2006 and Green Bay in 2005 recording nine career tackles with two pass breakups in 18 games played.

Hawkins played for the Dallas Desperados in the Arena Football League in 2004.
