Dallas Cowboys receiver Roy Williams has missed practice because of a sore left wrist and his status is uncertain.

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said Williams was having X-rays and an MRI taken on the wrist Sunday afternoon.

Jones said Williams hurt his wrist when he came down hard during Sunday's morning practice and that the receiver was sore when he returned in the afternoon.

With the departure of Terrell Owens, Williams is expected to the Cowboys' No. 1 receiver this season.
