The Dallas Cowboys signed free agent safety Keith Davis Wednesday, shortly after the Miami Dolphins cut him.

Davis is entering his sixth season, all with the Cowboys. He signed as a free agent with the Dolphins after last season.

For his career, he has 111 defensive tackles in 68 games. Dallas originally signed Davis as an undrafted free agent in April 2002.

Davis, who once was a starter in the Dallas defense, will likely be used extensively as a special teams player this season.
