T.O. Sits Again
Terrell Owens

Posted Aug 4, 2008

For the second day in a row, veteran wide receiver Terrell Owens wasn't an active participant in practice at Dallas Cowboys training camp Monday.

Owens arrived on the field 35 minutes after the start of the morning session, when the team was in shorts without pads for the first of two practices scheduled Monday.

It wasn't immediately clear if T.O. would take part in the afternoon practice.

Head coach Wade Phillips has started giving veteran players some breaks, but Owens was also off Sunday.

Tight end Jason Witten and linebacker Zach Thomas, who also got a break from practice Sunday with Owens, were back on the field Monday.

Flozell Adams, the four-time Pro Bowl left tackle going into his 11th season, also didn't participate in team and position drills Monday morning. Adams also got a break from the first of two practices Saturday.

The Cowboys have practiced 11 straight days since opening camp.
