Cowboys Re-sign McBriar

The Dallas Cowboys and Pro Bowl punter Mat McBriar have agreed to a five-year deal worth close to $8.5 million

The deal also includes a $2.5 million signing bonus.

The deal makes McBriar one of the top-five highest-paid punters in the NFL.

McBriar, who was just one day away from becoming a restricted free agent, led the NFL with an average of 48.2 yards per kick last season. He was the first Cowboys punter to appear in the Pro Bowl since Ron Widby in 1971. Recommended Stories
