Gurode Inks Six-Year Deal
Andre Gurode

Posted Feb 20, 2007

As expected, the Dallas Cowboys have secured the services of center Andre Gurode through a long term deal that will keep him in Dallas for the next years.

The move prevents Gurode from becoming a free agent.

Gurode was originally a second round draft choice out of Colorado in 2002.

He was named as a Pro Bowl replacement following last season, his first as a fulltime starter at center.

Gurode's back up, one time starter Al Johnson, is also scheduled to become a free agent in March.

Sources close to the Cowboys maintain that Johnson will likely not be re-signed, especially with Gurode's improvement last season.
