Viking Update ranks its FREE AGENTS with the following guidelines based on our assessment of the players:

= All-Pro/Pro Bowl quality player, or deserving but league depth at position keeps player back.
= Would start for most teams.
= Starting quality, average to slightly above average player.
= Solid to serviceable player, backup for most teams.
= Roster bubble, special teams only type contributor, no defined role in position.

Unrestricted Free Agents
Jerome Felton FB Signed a three-year, $7.5 million contract with the Vikings, including a $2 million signing bonus and $150,000 workout bonus.
Phil Loadholt RT Signed a four-year, $25 million contract with the Vikings, including a $7 million signing bonus
Erin Henderson LB Signed a two-year, $4 million contract with the Vikings, including a $500,000 signing bonus and $500,000 roster bonus.
Jamarca Sanford S Signed a two-year, $5 million contract with the Vikings, including a $500,000 signing bonus and $500,000 roster bonus.
Jasper Brinkley LB Signed a three-year contract with the Arizona Cardinals.
Jerome Simpson WR Signed a one-year, $2.1 million contract with the Vikings, including a $500,000 signing bonus and $250,000 workout bonus.
Geoff Schwartz OL Signed a one-year contract with the Kansas City Chiefs.
Devin Aromashodu  WR Unsigned
Marvin Mitchell LB Unsigned
Joe Berger OL Signed a one-year contract with the Vikings that could be worth  $905,000.
Restricted Free Agents
A.J. Jefferson CB Tendered a one-year, $1.33 million offer.

Marcus Sherels CB Tendered a one-year, $550,000 offer.

* March 12: Released CB Antoine Winfield.

* March 11: Traded Percy Harvin to the Seattle Seahawks for first- and seventh-round picks in 2013 and a third-round pick in 2014.

* March 4: Released WR Michael Jenkins


* March 15: Signed WR Greg Jennings to a five-year contract that could be worth up to $47.5 million, including an $18 million bonus.

* March 14: Signed QB Matt Cassel to a two-year contract that could be worth up to $8 million, including $3.7 million guaranteed in the first year.

* Feb. 11: Signed DB Roderick Williams to a three-year, $1.5 million contract.

* Jan. 9: Signed P T.J. Conley and CB Greg McCoy to futures contracts.

* Jan. 7: Signed DT Chase Baker, RB Banyard, TE LaMark Grown, CB Bobby Felder, TE Chase Ford, G Tyler Holmes, T Kevin Murphy and WR Chris Summers to futures contracts.
