Dan Connor was drafted in the third round (74th overall) of the 2008 Draft by the Carolina Panthers out of Penn State.
He has played in 42 games in his four NFL
seasons with 19 starts tallying 166 tackles (97 solo) with one sack, one pass
breakup, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery. Connor also added 21 career
special teams tackles for the Panthers.
Connor is the sixth free agent to reach a deal with the Cowboys in the last two days, joining Brandon Carr, Kyle Orton, Mackenzy Bernadeau, Lawrence Vickers and safety Brodney Pool.
Pool signed a one-year deal for $1.1 million after playing his last two seasons with the New York Jets.
Pool recorded three pass breakups, one interception and four quarterback hurries last season - as well as 37 tackles and a half sack.
