Kitna moved to Injured Reserve

The Dallas Cowboys placed quarterback Jon Kitna on injured reserve with a back injury today.

The team signed wide receiver Dwayne Harris to the active roster from their practice squad and added quarterback Chris Greisen to the practice squad.

Kitna appeared in three games in 2011, seeing his most extensive action of the season at San Francisco (9/18) in the third quarter. He completed six-of-10 passes for 87 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions. For his career, he has thrown for 29,745 yards completing 2,677-of-4,442 attempts with 169 touchdowns and 165 interceptions and a 77.4 quarterback rating.

Harris, the Cowboys sixth round draft choice in the 2011 Draft, played in the first five games in 2011 before being released on October 18 and immediately signing to the club's practice squad. He recorded three kickoff returns for 74 yards and 11 punt returns for 73 yards in five games.

Greisen was signed to Dallas' practice squad on December 27, 2010 and then was added to the active roster on December 31, but did not play in the teams final game in 2010. He has been out of football until signing with Dallas today. For his NFL career, he has appeared in five games, all with Arizona in 1999 and 2000, and completed seven-of-16 attempts for 69 yards and one touchdown with a 77.3 quarterback rating.
