Cowboys release Hamlin

The Dallas Cowboys released safety Michael Hamlin today.

Hamlin, originally a fifth-round draft pick (166th overall) in 2009 out of Clemson, played in eight career games with Dallas. He played mainly on special teams where he recorded one tackle.

Currently the Cowboys have 52 players on their roster.
